FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What properties do you have?
All the properties are single-bed roomed and self-contained. There are 18 terraced cottages, 4 ground floor flats, 2 first floor flats and 2
bungalows.
What facilities are available?
Facilities available include a laundry, store room, bike store, terrestrial television aerials, car parking for visitors and restricted car parking for residents.
Are there gardens?
There are large communal gardens which are maintained by the Cambridge Royal Albert Homes. Residents have a small area for their personal use adjoining their property.
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, we have a "no pets" rule, apart from registered guide dogs.
What are the costs to live in your homes?
Accommodation costs are very reasonable and information about is available on application from the homes manager. Please either email the homes manager manager@cambridgeroyalalberthomes.org.uk or call the homes manager direct.
How are properties allocated?
Available properties are allocated on a needs basis and not on a first come first served policy.
Is there a waiting list for a home?
It is best to contact the office to find out more about the current availability and if there is a waiting list. We are running a program of refurbishment works in the coming months, and properties will become available after works are complete.
I require nursing care - can I apply to be a resident?
Accommodation cannot be allocated to anyone requiring nursing care as we do not have the facilities for this care.
